About Us
Alpha Medical Contractors (AMC) is a medical practice that provide health care solutions for its patients and partners. Alpha Medica Contractors was formed in 2007 to provide provider assistance to MD practices by utilizing nurse practitioners as independent contractors.
In 2008, AMC begin to offer house call visits to residents in independent, assistant, and memory care facilities. As we age, it becomes more difficult to leave your home for services including for MD appointments. This service has been such a benefit to seniors.
AMC has partnered with many facilities throughout the metro Atlanta area to provide in-house primary care services to their residents.
In 2016, we added business to business services including DOT services. Many employees and truck drivers, spend many hours waiting to get a DOT physical, drug screen, or BAT (breath and alcohol testing). This is why we provide on-site services. AMC will come to your company and provide DOT and non-DOT physicals, DOT and non-DOT drug screens, and BAT.
In 2018, AMC started a caregiving agency called, Alpha Personal Care. This was established because of the growing need to provide assistance to seniors as they age. The population of seniors will continue to grow and the need for personal care assistance will continue to grow as well. Our caregivers are certified nursing assistants and provide exceptional, professional care. Alpha Personal Care provide services to residents in metro Atlanta area.
In 2021, AMC begin providing telemedicine visits. After 2020 and the COVID pandemic, medicine had to adjust to the new reality of healthcare. People have become more comfortable with being assessed and treated on the computer. This is why AMC added telemedicine to our list of services. Our goal is to expand our telemedicine practice to including more states to give more care to others who are in more rural areas.

House call medicine is the cornerstone of the company. As we age, sometimes it's difficult to get to your physician's office which is why house call visits are such a benefit for our seniors. Alpha Medical Contractors provides primary care to seniors in independent, assisted, and memory care facilities. AMC accepts most major insurances and most insurances cover house call visits. AMC partners with directors of facilities to provide in-house primary care services for their residents.

Alpha Personal Care was formed to assist seniors with assistance with activities of daily living. When we are younger it is easy to take for granted things like putting on clothes, combing hair, going to the bathroom. However, as people age, the body and mind decline and additional personal care is needed.

Camille Cook
Family Nurse Practitioner, Family Medicine
Alpha Medical Contractors started from Camille Cook. She began her career as nurse in 1991 after attending Delta State University in Cleveland, MS.
After working as an RN at Crawford W. Long Hospital (Emory Midtown) from 1991-1995, she left to work as a home health care nurse with Central Home Healthcare (Amedisys). In 1996, she wanted to learn more and do more, and enrolled in Nurse Practitioner program at Georgia State University. In 1998, she received her Masters in Science and completed Family Nurse Practitioner program.
After becoming a nurse practitioner, she began to work in many areas of medicine. Her areas of experience include HIV medicine, primary care, women’s health, STD medicine, correctional medicine, occupational medicine, geriatrics, urgent care.
After acquiring many years of experience, she began to work as an independent contractor and started Alpha Medical Contractors. She was very busy as a contractor because smaller practices would need an additional provider but could not afford a full-time provider. She has worked with different practices through Atlanta metro area as well as different urgent care centers, and county jails.
Because of her need to help others, she has added different services throughout the years such as house call visits, telemedicine, DOT services and caregiving agency. Camille always wanted AMC to be a solution oriented medical practice.
Camille has over 24 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and truly enjoys want she does. She has decided to further her education and is currently a medical student who will be graduating in 2025.
